HANOIYour driver and guide will meet you at the hotel and transfer to the gym to receive a briefing about climbing techniques, belay devices, ropes, and knots, and enjoy an evening of Indoor Climbing.

Day 2
HANOI - HUU LUNG - HANOIAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel around 7:30 am and drive to Huu Lung (2h30 from Hanoi), which is located 110 km North-East of Hanoi, in a peaceful valley, hosting breathtaking karst peaks near a natural reserve. Off the beaten path, 60 quality routes have been bolted and are accessible to beginners and experienced climbers.
The cliff is 130m high, predominantly vertical wall of compact limestone, offering single and multi-pitch routes up to 3 pitches long. The wall is a mere 5 minutes walk from the road, is east facing, and stays dry in light rain. The rock quality, in particular, is excellent, featuring tufas, and positive crimps. There are 12 routes, from 6a to 7b+ (most of them are 25m high) and 2 multi-pitches (3 pitches, 60m high).
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Return to your hotel in Hanoi around 8 pm.
Day 3
HANOI – MAI CHAUAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel around 8:00 am and drive to Mai Chau, in the northwest region of Vietnam. As seen from high above, the superb vista of Mai Chau is surrounded by a green valley and stilt houses of an ethnic minority group. The two tribes, White Thai and black Thai settle in this area and make up the largest ethnic population in the region.
Upon arrival, lunch at a local restaurant. Take one 1hour rest before driving to the foot of the crag.
Enjoy a full afternoon of climbing till sunset, and drive back to the hotel for dinner.

Day 4
MAI CHAU – HANOI – HAI PHONGAfter breakfast is leisure time in Mai Chau with your guide and driver will meet you at the lodge and transfer to Hanoi, and continue to Hai Phong, which is a peaceful city of wide boulevards, dovetailed with organized tree rows. One of the important commercial and industrial hubs in Northern Vietnam, Hai Phong has an extensive infrastructure and offers premium facilities for tourists. Do Son, which has been a resort town since the French colonial period, boasts of its beautiful white-sand beaches and luxurious hotels. Cat Ba Island, is another tourist magnet and very near to Lan Ha Bay.

Day 5
HAI PHONG – CAT BA ISLANDAfter breakfast, your guide will meet you at the hotel and continue with a speedboat from Hai Phong and arrive at Cat Ba. Pearl, Island is a well-known archipelago with a spectacular array of sea and island scenery. It covers an area of 20,000 ha in the North-East of Hai Phong, making it the biggest island out of the 366 islands in Lan Hạ Bay. It takes about one hour by high-speed hydrofoil to go to the island, or by land, it is about 60 kilometers passing two ferries.
Upon arrival, transfer up to the Tien Ung Pagoda and from here walk down the valley for 20 minutes, before arriving at the foot of the cliff.
Butterfly Valley is the crag with the most numerous routes in Vietnam. Developed by a special Tour Operator in Cat Ba National Park, this is usually the main meeting and climbing point for people traveling in Northern Vietnam. Most of the routes are graded from 5c to 7b and are up to 30m in height.
Enjoy a full day of climbing till sunset and drive back to the hotel in Cat Ba.

Day 6
CAT BA ISLANDAfter breakfast, your guide will meet you at the hotel and embark on a private boat and start sailing among the cliffs of Lan Ha. Depending on the tide conditions, enjoy a full day of Deep Water Soloing, climbing, and jumping from the massive limestone of the bay, or enjoy a full day of rock climbing at Moody Beach and Tiger Beach. In both cases, double kayaks will be provided to allow you to discover the lagoons around the area. Sail back to Cat Ba town and enjoy the magical sunset.
Return to your hotel on Cat ba island.
Day 7
CAT BA ISLAND – HAI PHONG – HANOIAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel and take a speedboat up to Hai Phong, and drive back to Hanoi.
Return to your hotel in Hanoi or transfer to the airport for the next destination.
