Walking through the doors of The Myst Dong Khoi, you enter a timeless space. One where ylang ylang-scented air cools your skin and genuine smiles make you feel at home. Where hushed modern spaces and singular design harbour relics of Saigon’s storied past – stained-glass details, wrought iron roses and cherished local artefacts. Day 2
Saigon City tour- Transfer to Cu Chi tunnel by car - The Cu Chi region was pivotal in the defeat of the US during the Vietnamese war. Almost completely devastated by continual bombing and napalming overland, many Viet Cong still survived by digging and hiding in underground tunnel networks, we’ll visit the vast underground network of tunnels.
- Have lunch at a local restaurant
- Back to Sai Gon, In the afternoon, Visit:
+ The Reunification Palace:
One of the most important buildings in the city, on April 30th, 1975, was the moment when Vietnamese-American War officially ended. Tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was, at the time, the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam.
+ War Remnants Museum:
Formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, the War Remnants Museum is a poignant display of war’s futility. Some of the black-and-white photography in the “Requiem” exhibit is particularly touching, dedicated to both foreign and Vietnamese journalists and photographers who perished during the conflict. The courtyard outside contains the spoils of war: rusting jets, tanks, and cannons captured from the American military.
+ Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office:
Built between 1877 and 1883, these two buildings are some of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture. Remarkably, every stone used in the creation of the cathedral was shipped from France to Vietnam. Her two 40m towers, topped with iron spires, dominate the city’s skyline. Just across a park from the cathedral sits the beautiful General Post Office. With its huge clock and cavernous interior, it has the air of an old-fashioned railroad station.
+ Visit and shopping at Ben Thanh market.
- Have dinner at a local restaurant and back to the hotel for relaxing.

In the evening, enjoy a Gong performance followed by dinner.
Day 4
Trekking to Bim Bip waterfallA dense, tropical maze of layered, leafy-green canopy lies hidden under a soft white layer of delicate clouds. The further one ventures in, the more beauty and mystique are revealed. Standing under the lush, dewy trees, the melodious singing of wild birds can be heard. Adventurous nature-lovers will not be disappointed with a visit to the hidden, small yet charming Bim Bip Waterfall, just about 7km from LAK Tented Camp. Situated in southeast Dak Lak, the waterfall originates from the high mountain slopes of the Yang Tao mountain range. It is affectionately considered as the “younger brother” of the imposing Chu Yang Sin Mountain or “the roof of Central Highlands,” and is surrounded by a primeval evergreen forest.
After breakfast, transfer to a village nearby, located on the foot of Chu Yang Sin National Park. You will begin the walk toward the heart of the forest. Following the river upstream, the crops will progressively give way to the exuberant jungle. About 45 minutes of hiking in this beautiful landscape will lead you to the Bim Bip waterfall.
With the help of a knowledgeable guide, take time to admire the rich fauna and flora, its beauties, and local usage. Dalat - Nha Trang (by biking and Rafting)- This journey to Nha Trang starts with a 45-minute transfer, 25 kilometers to the northeast of Dalat on a new road and through the newest national park in Vietnam (Bidoup Nui Ba). It offers fantastic cycling in the highlands, as well as down a 28-kilometer pass, to the lowlands.
After lunch, we jump back into the boats and tackle a couple more sections of rapids, enjoy the fantastic scenery, and float our way closer to Nha Trang. At the end of the rafting, we climb out of the river and into our vehicle for a short 40-minute ride to the city center. The total riding distance is customizable, with about 60 km being the norm. The rafting section is about 10 kilometers.
The first section of the ride starts in a pine forest and rolls through the hills with beautiful views of farms, countryside, and Nui Ba Mountain. There is one final 3-kilometer climb to the top of the pass, before some serious downhill. The 28 kilometers, the uninterrupted downhill section is the longest section of downhill we offer, and it is the longest we have been able to find.
After reaching the bottom of the pass, we pull over to the side of the river and climb off the bikes, and into the inflatable 2 man kayaks, made for the kinds of rapids we encounter on the Cai River. This river forms from the many tributaries flowing out of the mountains we have just ridden down. We float down the river for half an hour or so, before stopping for a picnic lunch break.

This seventeen-day private cycling journey moves through two countries and several distinct landscapes, connecting the UNESCO-listed town of Luang Prabang with the historic port of Hoi An via some of the least-travelled roads in mainland Southeast Asia. The route crosses the limestone plateaux of Xiang Khouang Province, descends through the karst valleys of central Laos, passes through the Konglor cave system by longboat, and enters Vietnam along the old Ho Chi Minh Highway. From there it follows the Truong Son mountain range south through Phong Nha, crosses the former Demilitarized Zone, and climbs the Hai Van Pass before finishing at the Cham archaeological site of My Son. The riding is varied and at times demanding, with significant elevation on several days and a combination of sealed mountain roads and quiet back lanes.
