Day 1
HANOI – BA BE NATIONAL PARK (L/D)Our tour guide will pick you up by car at your hotel around 7:30-8:00 am, as an early start is necessary for all we have in store for you today. On the way to Ba Be National Park, we will stop in a local village to enjoy lunch in a restaurant, before our route takes us up through the mountains and tea plantations on the road to Ba Be Lake.
You will then travel to the Tay village of Coc Toc, where the houses are built in traditional Tay fashion on stilts. The local Tay population is extremely friendly to visitors and will welcome you with open arms, introducing you to their way of life, the central pillars of which are fishing on the lake and rice farming.
This is where you will spend the night in a homestay, to really get an intimate look at Tay culture and daily life. After checking in at the homestay, your afternoon will be free to spend as you wish, though we recommend going for a walk to explore the beautiful surroundings. Following this, we will take you to Hua Ma Cave, featuring thousands of stalactites and stalagmites.
The rest of the day is again yours to do with as you please, though we offer the optional activities of guided walks/bike rides around Coc Toc Village and kayaking trips on the lake. If you’d rather spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the serene views, then that’s also an option.

You’ll be greatly rewarded for the effort, as once you reach a higher altitude you will be assailed by magnificent views of the mountains.
As you journey ever higher, you will stop in a Hmong village, where a picnic lunch will be prepared for you. After you’ve eaten and rested, you will continue through the vast mountain ranges and valleys to see the stilt houses of the Dzao people and visit one of their local schools before visiting a second Hmong Village and returning to your homestay by the lake.

After your exploration of the lake, you will have the chance to rest as we drive you back to Hanoi, taking in the beautiful scenery along the way. Laos–Vietnam Explorer | Luang Prabang to Hanoi
This ten-day journey moves from the quiet riverine capital of Luang Prabang through some of the least-visited terrain in northern Laos before crossing into Vietnam near Dien Bien Phu. The route combines cycling through primary forest and minority villages with a long boat passage on the Nam Ou River. On the Vietnamese side, the itinerary follows a sustained highland traverse through Tai and Hmong communities, karst valleys, and terraced rice country before descending gradually toward Hanoi. The pace is deliberate. The landscapes change in character each day. The journey ends with a passage through Cuc Phuong National Park, home to one of Vietnam's most significant primate conservation programs.

Northern Laos through the highlands of Vietnam
This fifteen-day private journey moves through three distinct landscapes with a deliberate, unhurried logic, combining cycling with river travel and a private cruise. It begins in Luang Prabang and follows the Nam Ou north into the limestone hills of Nong Khiaw, then rides deeper into the protected forests of Nam Et–Phou Louey National Park for a night safari guided by local Khmu villagers, before Sam Neua and the Vieng Xai caves. Crossing into Vietnam, the route descends through Pu Luong and Cuc Phuong before Ninh Binh and Hanoi. The final two nights are spent aboard a private cruise in Halong Bay, among karst islands and limestone caves. It is built for travellers who value direct access to protected natural areas and historical sites over high-volume circuits.

Private Cycling Journey From Luang Prabang To Hoi An
This seventeen-day private cycling journey moves through two countries and several distinct landscapes, connecting the UNESCO-listed town of Luang Prabang with the historic port of Hoi An via some of the least-travelled roads in mainland Southeast Asia. The route crosses the limestone plateaux of Xiang Khouang Province, descends through the karst valleys of central Laos, passes through the Konglor cave system by longboat, and enters Vietnam along the old Ho Chi Minh Highway. From there it follows the Truong Son mountain range south through Phong Nha, crosses the former Demilitarized Zone, and climbs the Hai Van Pass before finishing at the Cham archaeological site of My Son. The riding is varied and at times demanding, with significant elevation on several days and a combination of sealed mountain roads and quiet back lanes. Transfers by vehicle are used where road conditions or distance require them, and the overall pace allows for meaningful engagement with each place along the way. This is a journey for cyclists who want to move through a landscape rather than observe it from a distance.
