Day by day Itinerary
Day 1
BeijingYour guide and driver will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel located in the city center. You will have a 6 pm group meeting at your hotel, and there will be more information about the details of the trip, followed by the orientation walk and dinner at a local restaurant.

BeijingAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. Today, we will explore famous sights in Beijing. There will be a lot of walking today as well as using the public subway to get around, take the metro to Tiananmen Square, one of the world's largest public squares, home to the Monument of the People's Heroes and the Great hall of the People. Then enter the Forbidden City, built from 1406 to 1420, a ceremonial and political center of the Chinese government for more than 500 years. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987 and is listed by UNESCO as the most extensive collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world. After the Forbidden City, we will stroll in the alleys formed by lines of traditional courtyards known by Hutong and experience the local lifestyle of Old Beijing.

Day 3
BeijingAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. This morning, we will be going to visit the Great Wall - Mutianyu Section (approx. 2hrs). This is one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall with 22 towers winding along the mountain ridges. Spend quality time exploring and learning the history of the Great Wall of China as well as enjoy the view at Huairou county the suburban area of Beijing. The great idea is to bring a picnic lunch with you to enjoy at the top of the wall during a rest break. Then board on an overnight train to Xi'an.
Day 4
Xi’anYour guide and driver will meet you at the train station and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon we will visit one of the best-preserved old residences in Xi’an dating back 400 years. The courtyard was once home to seven generations of the Gao family – notable officials of the royal court. To get a taste of traditional local lifestyle through period furniture, pottery, porcelain, and paintings. Then we will take a walk around the Muslim quarter, lively markets, Bell and Drum Tower, and visit the Grand Mosque. The Great Mosque of Xi'an is the most significant mosque in China. It was constructed during the Hongwu reign of the Ming dynasty, with further additions during the Qing dynasty. Previous religious complexes are known to have stood on the same site, dating to as early as the Tang dynasty.

Day 5
Xi’anYour guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and start visit the Terracotta Warriors. You’ll learn all about this incredible archaeological find, discovered in 1976 by farmers digging a well, after being buried for 2,000 years. Three main pits are open for you to view, where just under 2,000 of the total 6,000 warriors – each individually sculpted from clay, each having a different costume, height, and even facial expressions – stand in battle formation. The scale is incredibly impressive. After the tour, we will enjoy lunch in a local village. The afternoon we will visit the ancient City Wall, the most significant and best-preserved wall extant in China now, running over 13 kilometers around Xian. Then take a short walking tour of the city, passing by the Bell & Drum Tower, the Muslim quarter and lively markets.

Day 6
Xi'an - Chengdu - Leshan - ChengduAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and transfer to the airport and take a flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival in Chengdu, your guide and driver will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel and then travel going to Leshan Giant Buddha. The Leshan Giant Buddha is a 71-meter (233 ft) tall stone statue, built between 713 and 803 (during the Tang Dynasty), depicting Maitreya. The stone sculpture faces Mount Emei, with the rivers flowing below its feet. It is the largest and the tallest stone Buddha statue in the world, and it is by far the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. The area was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996.
In the afternoon, we will be back to Chengdu, then check in our downtown hotel. Tonight, just enjoy one of the country's most renowned dishes - an authentic Sichuan hotpot. Known in Sichuan as 'Huo Guo,' Huo Guo is thought to date back more than 1,000 years. Consisting of a communal pot of spiced broth, everyone can select their own ingredients to be cooked up in this delicious hot liquid.

Day 7
ChengduAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. Visit the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, where you're able to witness the conservation efforts being made to save this endearing endangered species. There are only around 1,000 pandas left in the world, and 80% of them found in the mountains in Sichuan. The pandas have over 600 acres of parkland to live in, and you can get up close and learn more about these majestic creatures. Watch them play, eat bamboo, napping, and munching bamboo. We will visit Jinli Street. This street is famous for its historic atmosphere, bustling businesses and most of all its local snacks. Enjoy sticky rice cakes with sesame sauce, spicy chicken on a stick, sweet rice jelly, fried beef pancakes and, for the more adventurous, seasoned rabbit heads. After that, go to Kuanzhai Alley. Kuanzhai Alley, also known as “Wide and Narrow Alley,” consists of three historic paralleled alleys from the Qing dynasty.

Day 8
Chengdu-HangzhouAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and transfer to the airport to take a flight to Hangzhou. Hangzhou is the capital city of Zhejiang province located in east China and the southern terminus of the Grand Canal. Today we will explore West Lake. It is a freshwater lake in Hangzhou, China. It's divided into five sections by three causeways. There are numerous temples, pagodas, gardens, and artificial islands within the lake. West Lake has influenced poets and painters throughout Chinese history for its natural beauty and historical relics. It was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011. Longjing Tea or dragon well tea of more than 1200 years old is the No. 1 tea in China and regarded as the “Green Queen.”Today we will visit Longjing Tea plantations in Hangzhou to appreciate the beautiful verdant sightseeing and know more about the culture of tea and the Chinese nation. At night, we will enjoy a local dinner.

Day 9
Hangzhou - Wuzhen - ShanghaiAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. We travel going to Shanghai and visit the Wuzhen water town on the way. Wuzhen, a 1300-year-old water town on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, is one of China’s top ten historical & cultural towns. It lies within the triangle formed by Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Shanghai after that, then back to Shanghai in the afternoon.

Day 10
ShanghaiAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. Today, we will visit the City God’s Temple, a folk temple neighboring Yuyuan Garden. The City God Temple in Shanghai originated as the Jinshan God Temple, dedicated to the spirit of Jinshan, or "Gold Mountain," an island off the coast of Shanghai. It was converted into a City God Temple in 1403, during the Yongle era of the Ming dynasty. Its popularity turns the surrounding area into a large pedestrian area that hosts an array of shops, restaurants, tea houses, as well as annual temple fair events. Yuyuan Garden, also called Yu Garden, was originally built in 1559, opened to the public in 1961 and a declared monument in 1982. It is the most extensive ancient garden with Ming and Qing architectural styles. After spending some time in the temple area, you will explore - Shanghai French Concession, a concession area from 1849 till 1943. In almost one century, it develops its distinct character with a cultural mixture of Chinese and European, also one of the Catholic centers in China.
