The Great Wall was initiated by the first Emperor and revived during the Ming Dynasty against the invading Mongols. In Xi’an, the life-size Terracotta Warriors stand in formation, with no two faces alike. Day by day Itinerary
Day 1
ShanghaiYour guide and driver will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel located in the city center. You will have a 6 pm group meeting at your hotel, and there will be more information about the meeting. Please look for a note in the hotel lobby or ask at reception.
Shanghai is one of the four direct-controlled municipalities of China and the most populous city proper in the world, with a population of more than 24 million. It is a global financial center and transport hub, with the world’s busiest container port. Located in the Yangtze River Delta, it sits on the south edge of the estuary of the Yangtze in the middle portion of the East China coast.

Day 2
Shanghai - SuzhouAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. Join your tour leader for a historical Shanghai walking tour. We will explore the Bund, and we can get a taste of 1920s Shanghai. Walking along the Huangpu River, you will get a feeling of the urban city with a long history. Then you will walk along the famous Nanjing Road down to the People's Square where the Shanghai municipal government headquarter based.
Afterward, you will explore the Shanghai French Concession, a concession area from 1849 till 1943. In almost one century, it develops its distinct character with a cultural mixture of Chinese and European, also one of the Catholic centers in China. Then transfer to the train station and board on a bullet train to Suzhou.

Day 3
Suzhou - Xi’anAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. Today, we will visit the Master of Nets Garden. As one of the four famous gardens in Suzhou City, the Master of Nets Garden is the one with most artistic features and cultural values. It is a typical private garden composed of residential and gardening. With the designers’ adept skills in synthesizing art, nature, and architecture, the Master of Nets Garden is particularly celebrated for its techniques of relative dimension, strong contrast, exquisite architecture, skilled layout, and profound cultural connotation.
Then visit the Santang Street and walk along the Grand Canal, the Grand Canal is the world's longest artificial river listed on UNESCO World Heritage. Afterward, transfer to train station and board on an overnight sleeper train to Xi’an.
Day 4
Xi'anYour guide and driver will meet you at the train station and transfer to our downtown hotel. Then take a short walking tour of the city, passing by the Bell and Drum Tower, Muslim quarter. In the afternoon, start exploring the city by visiting the ancient City Wall, the most significant and best-preserved wall extant in China now, running over 13 kilometers around Xian.

Day 5
Xi'anAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. Today, we will visit the Terracotta Warriors by private bus. You’ll learn all about this incredible archaeological find, discovered in 1976 by farmers digging a well, after being buried for 2,000 years. Three main pits are open for you to view, where just under 2,000 of the total 6,000 warriors – each individually sculpted from clay, each having a different costume, height, and even facial expressions – stand in battle formation. The scale is incredibly impressive.

Day 6
Xi'an - BeijingAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. This morning, we will travel to Beijing and to the Jinshanling Great Wall. Upon arrival, we will have an orientation walk around the village and learns the surrounding community development. After that, we return to the guest house, to learn how to make dumplings from our host.

Day 7
BeijingAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your local guesthouse. Today, we will be going to hike to Jinshanling. As you hike along with your guide, you'll see lush vegetation and learn how this part of the wall has crumbled because in the 1950s local farmers took bricks from the wall to build their houses. Pass by a local village and walk around the inner circle of the wall, which was the second defense in case the main wall breached. Continue walking until the late afternoon, then hike to 7.5 miles (12 km) for a total of 4-5 hours, and will rest for 3-4 hours to take in the views and have lunch. Then we will drive back to Beijing for the night.

Day 8
BeijingAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. Today, we'll explore famous sights in Beijing. There will be a lot of walking today as well as using public the subway to get around. After breakfast, we will take the metro to Tiananmen Square, one of the world's largest public squares, home to the Monument of the People's Heroes and the Great hall of the People.
Then enter the Forbidden City, built from 1406 to 1420, a ceremonial and political center of the Chinese government for more than 500 years. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987 and is listed by UNESCO as the most extensive collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world. After the Forbidden City, we will stroll in the alleys formed by lines of traditional courtyards known by Hutong and experience the local lifestyle of Old Beijing. You will enjoy a fantastic acrobatic show in the evening.

BeijingAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. We offer an early morning tour to see local people doing their morning exercises at the Temple of Heaven.
