Ariyasom Villa Bangkok
Ariyasom Villa first opened it’s doors to guests in August 2008. The original Villa was built by Khun Pariyas’ Grandfather and Grandmother in 1941/2.
When first built, the villa was considered to be in the outskirts of the City but over the last 70+ years the City has pushed out to the east and we are now in the very centre of town. When we built the hotel our intentions were to build something with an authentic “Thai” feeling – I hope we’ve succeeded. Ariyasom Villa is a small luxury boutique hotel with just 24 guestrooms, restaurant (Na Aroon), Thai Spa (Som Sen), small function room and meditation hall.

This ten-day journey moves north to south through two countries on two wheels, covering 545 kilometres of terrain that ranges from teak forest singletrack to the limestone corridors above the Mekong. The route begins quietly alongside the Ping River in Chiang Mai and builds steadily through hill tribe uplands, border crossings, and the rural interior of northern Laos before arriving in Luang Prabang. Each day is structured around the landscape rather than a schedule, with private boat transfers, forest treks, and cultural pauses folded naturally into the riding. Accommodation is chosen for position and quality of setting. The pace allows time to observe without rushing past it.

Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang: Hidden Thailand Ride
This twelve-day cycling journey moves overland and by river from the walled city of Chiang Mai through the highland interior of northern Thailand before crossing into Laos at Chiang Khong. The riding passes through national parks, hill-tribe territories, and centuries-old temple complexes that receive little outside attention. Days in Laos follow the Nam Ou valley southward through village landscapes and forested ridgelines toward Nong Khiaw, arriving finally in Luang Prabang by river and road. The pace allows genuine engagement with the places and people along the way rather than passage through them.
