They specialize in creating ornamental items used in traditional ceremonies for marriages and at the pagoda. A few kilometers away in the distant hills the royal stupas of Oudong, Cambodia’s old capital, can be spotted. The ruins of Anthareu temple lay at that the top of the hill.
Following lunch back on board, the ship travels to Kampong Tralech where a visit is made to the Vihara belonging to the Wat Kampong Tralach Leu pagoda. Dating back to the nearly a century, the modest pagoda offers many excellent mural paintings and represents one of the last survivors of the cultural destruction the Kingdom has endured due to widespread indifference. After re-embarking, the ship continues on a few kilometers and drops anchor for the night, followed by an orientation meeting and a welcome dinner.
