Day by day Itinerary
Day 1
YANGONUpon arrival at YANGON, Your Adventure Asia’s guide and driver will meet you at the airport and transfer to the hotel, and then go to the BOTATHAUNG PAGODA in the vicinity of the Yangon River. We hop on a bus for a short ride to the animated INDIAN DISTRICT of ANAWRATHA ROAD. See the shop houses closing down the business for the day and visit a HINDU TEMPLE. Stop for a refreshing drink at a typical Myanmar tea shop, crowded with people who have completed the day’s tasks. Walk down on KON ZAY DAN STREET and crisscross smaller side streets until you reach the busy area of Chinatown.
In the early evening, the pavement turns into a NIGHT MARKET, selling all kinds of goods. Drive back to your hotel with a photo stop at the illuminated SULE PAGODA. Lunch will be at your own account.
Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

Day 2
YANGONAfter breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and transfer to Yangon’s CENTRAL STATION for a train journey on the circular ‘commuter’ train line (about 40 minutes; please take note that the trains are very basic, often crowded and their schedule not reliable). You will get off at HLEDAN STATION and immerse yourself in this lively local Myanmar neighborhood where today’s more modern lifestyle mixes with old traditions. Visit the colorful HLEDAN MARKET and join the locals in a tea shop where they discuss important issues of the day.
After lunch, proceed to the landmark STRAND ROAD and have a look at PANSODAN JETTY to observe the busy life on Yangon River. Continue driving up PANSODAN STREET, famous for some of Yangon's most impressive colonial buildings. Start your walking tour at MAHABANDOOLA ROAD, from where you have the perfect view on SULE PADOGA, CITY HALL, and HIGH COURT. Cross through the greens of MAHA BANDOOLA GARDEN, before discovering the gold shops of SHWE BONTHA STREET. Continue to 31st STREET, well known for second-hand book shops as well as typical historical shophouses and to the BOGYOKE (SCOTT’S) MARKET (closed on Mondays and public holidays) with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts and gems stores.
Complete your day with an extended visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments, the SHWEDAGON PAGODA.
