Places like the Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden, the Elephant Rescue Park — home for formerly ill-treated elephants, and the Doi Inthanon National Park are all wonders which offer an array of plant life and tropical wildlife including over 383 species of birds in the latter. As for waterfalls, take in the Wachirathan Falls among others as you make your way to the Inthanon summit for once in a lifetime photo ops with breathtaking views. Further on, you’ll go to the Golden Triangle — the intersection of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar. For the artist in all of us, you’ll be treated to the cultural richness and scenic landscapes of Chiang Ray. There’s a White and Blue Temple as well as the Black House, a museum of exotic animals and bizarre taxidermy.
